Brushing her teeth

Vivian loves to brush her teeth, and she makes a sign for brushing by putting her index finger in her mouth and rubbing it back and forth!

She can run pretty quickly and has outgrown her size 6 shoes from stride rite - she is now wearing sophie's 6.5 to 7.5 shoes.

Dr. Min says she is the size of a 21 mo old at 15 months, so she is wearing 2T now. I am giving all her 18-24 mo clothes away.

She follows simple commands, like "Pick that up" or "can you give me that?" or "give that to your sister" or "come here". She loves to get her shoes on and GO somewhere, anywhere and often comes to me with shoes in hand so she can go outside. There is not much she likes more than going outside to play.

Today was the first day I took her to the gym daycare and she did not cry. I let her walk in on her own, instead of carrying her and handing her off to someone, and it seemed to do the trick.

Her canines have finally broken through on the top a week ago. They are the only teeth missing at this point. She has a 4 front teeth, top and bottom (8) plus 4 molars , 2 on top, 2 on bottom (12) and the top canines will make a total of 14 teeth.

One more thing, she loves to go down the slide by herself now. She even climbed up the big kids playstructure at the park, and from the corner of my eye, I saw her dash down the slide rather quickly (it's kind of steep!). She loves climbing and sliding. She is much more advanced than sophie was at her age, as far as having no fear. At the Jelly Belly factory yesterday, she wanted to walk with the big kids and hopped on and off her sit n stand stroller instead of riding in the seat!

Bah-Bah

Two days ago, Vivian said her official "Bye-bye" for the first time that I have ever heard it, without being prompted or anything!
Nana Ginger was leaving and as we stood on the front step watching her go to her car, Vivian waved her little hand and said "bah-bah". It was so awesome.

Vivian babbles all the time, non stop, using inflection and intonations, but not much comes out that seems intelligible. However, she often points to things and makes a sound which resembles "fizzat" which I think is "What's that?"

Lately we have had to start discipline with her because of her hitting. She hits Sophie or us when she gets angry, and will often just go up to Sophie and swat at her for seemingly no reason. We have started to have to use the pinch.

At her 15 mo checkup this week, she has shot up in weight to 26 lbs, and her percentile has gone from 70 to 90th for weight. Her height has always been 90th, so the dr. says she just seems to be catching up with her height.

When she got her shots, she was flailing and crying, and Sophie began the water works as well! It was ridiculous. Sophie kept saying, "My baby got a shooottt!" WAHHHHHHH.

On the eating front, you can not give Vivian anything to eat until she finishes what is in her mouth. This morning I had given her an apple slice which she was chewing the last of. When I went to put her in the high chair so she could eat her oatmeal, she spit out the chewed up apple chunks on the floor so she could begin on the oatmeal.
