Mama?

So many things to write about today.
1. This evening before bed, Vivian was in her crib while Daddy made her bottle. Sophie and I were in the master bathroom brushing our teeth, and I heard "MAMA". I am thinking this may have been the first time Vivian has called to me on purpose like that, clearly.

2. This morning was the first time Sophie hit Vivian with a toy, on purpose. When I asked Sophie what happened, she told me the truth. "Um, I jux hit her with the poppem because I want her to get out of here." She is in big trouble. Daddy told her today that if he hears of this again, she is getting spanked.

3. Vivian loves taking items out of a bucket, bag, etc. one by one, then putting them all back, one by one. We clap for her when she finishes the task and she is very pleased with herself!

first sign!

Vivian loves animals, more than normal children, I think. Her favorite book right now is the Very Busy Spider. When we got to the cat page 2 nights ago, she stroked her cheek with her fingers, the sign for cat! She also likes to "woof" like the dog on the dog page. She is in love with books right now.

She loves to instigate a game of chase as well. When Daddy comes in the room, she gets on all fours, looks back at him, and starts laughing wildly, then flailing on the ground so he will chase her! She loves climbing all over Sophie and if you tell her to give kisses, she puts a wet, open mouth on your face.

She had some pooping issues the last 2 days. Her poo was as hard as a rock and very hard for her to pass. We did a little enema to help loosen it. She was in a lot of pain. I will try to start giving her juice.

Sat night and last night (Mon) she woke up crying in a frightened way. She was basically just wide awake. We ended up giving her Benadryl both times. Sun morn. she slept until 10:20am!!! Hopefully this is just a stage.

Pointing to Daddy

Vivian definitely understands what we are saying. She was looking at some pictures today, and one of the pics was our whole family. I said, Do you see Daddy? She took a second, scanned the pictures, then pointed to Daddy!

Also, she loves to pet the cat, but she likes to grab handfuls of his fur. When I say Gentle, Gentle, she stops being so rough. Gentle is definitely a concept she needs work in!

She loves to stand and play at the sandbox outside with her sister, and she also loves playing in the sandbox at the park, although the girls are absolutely filthy when they come home. She is not eating the sand so much as Sophie used to.

Vivian definitely has anger issues. If you take something away from her, she gets very angry and starts flailing her arms hard and hitting. She wants anything her sister has. Now I understand why parents say, "You are too little." In fact, there are many chokable toys, like game pieces, which Sophie can play with but Vivian can not.

Also, she loves Dora and her signature dance is bouncing on her knees, much like Van Halen does at the end of the Jump video.
