walking for sure

Today may be the first day where Vivian has walked more than crawled. She was really walking around the restaurant pavillion at Bonfante today and is just walking more and more. She gets VERY angry if she can not have or do something that Sophie has or is doing.

Sophie is obsessed right now with the story of Cinderella. She wants to dress in her princess dress every day, and says, "mommy, you be the evil stepsister" and she wants me to talk mean to her! She is in love with fairy tales in general and loves Hansel and Gretel, Pinocchio and Cinderella the best. We have a badly written version of Hansel & Gretel and I really MUST get her a better written version of that story.

She wants Vivian and me to play chase with her every evening while we wait for Daddy to get home in the front yard. She is also telling me she loves me about 50,000 times a day and she likes me to tell her how much I love her - (picture fingers pinched together here) either a little, or THISMUCH (big wide open arms).

First Vomit

At 4am this morning, Vivian was awake and I proceeded to make her a bottle. When I entered her room, I could smell vomit. I turned on the light, and sure enough it was all over her bed. It was cold, so it must have been there a while. She threw up french fries it looked like.

I woke up Daddy so he could hold her while I stripped her bed for the wash. She seemed OK - no fever. We went out to breakfast later this morning and she ate bacon and pancakes and drank her juice, so I am hoping it was just something she ate.

This was my first time having to clean up a vomit bed - this has not happened to Sophie yet.

Also, Daddy wrote me a note on the fridge the other night. Vivian was playing with something, and he said to her, Vivian, come here. She looked up at him, stopped what she was doing and crawled right over to him! Also, she is in love with bunny rabbits right now and goes crazy when she sees one, real, statue, cartoon, picture, etc.

FIRST STEPS!!!

What a joyous moment!!! At 5:25pm, we were all in Sophie's room and Vivian was standing up, and she just took 1,2 steps toward her sister!! Daddy exclaimed, SHE WALKED!! And we all began clapping and laughing loudly! Vivian loves to clap and say YAY, so she clapped too. I was so happy Daddy was there to see it. He missed Sophie's first steps b/c it happened at the gym daycare. :(
