reaching for feet

At 15 weeks, Vivian has begun reaching for her feet and other objects, then slowly bringing them to her mouth to slobber all over. The drool spickets are going full force, and she is really biting hard on our knuckles! She hasn't bit the nipple that feeds her yet though.

We continue offering her chew toys and she's slowly figuring out how to bring them to her mouth.

Falling

About two weeks ago, I put Vivian on the changing pad. She seems to like the contoured sides of it and will remain calm on it for a while. I had finished changing her diaper and she was content, so I just left her there while I folded the girls' laundry.

After I had put all the piles away in her room, I took a pile to Sophie's room, leaving Vivian on the changing pad. When I got to Sophie's room, I heard a thud, and a scream and ran back into the nursery to find her face down on the hardwood floor. Although she was screaming on the floor, the changing pad was still intact and in place on the dresser.

Last night, when I went running, Daddy put Vivian on our king bed, where she likes to sleep. He put her down on his side of the bed, and left the room. When he returned, she was not visible. She had scooted herself ACROSS the entire king size bed, and fallen on the floor on MY side. At least our bedroom is carpeted. She was face down, just fussing a bit, but not screaming.

At 14 weeks, she can't be put on any surface without sides.
