Clapping

Vivian is becoming more and more a copycat, and able to copy something she sees you do. Her newest achievement, which happened outside in our backyard on our picnic blanket was clapping her hands! She is now waving and clapping like crazy.

The other night, I came home from a meeting after being gone for about 2 hours, and when she saw me walk in the door, she started jumping up and down on her knees with excitement, practically getting air! It was awfully sweet.

Waving

Vivian is really getting the hang of copying what you do and also waving. At swim lesson yesterday, we were splashing the water while singing the ABC's, and once she figured out how to splash, she was going crazy! It's fun to see the connection happening and see that she gets it.

She is also waving, but her version of waving involves flapping both her arms like a bird, and hitting her thighs with her palms. She drank 4 6oz bottles of milk yesterday. At the park, she is starting to pick up tan bark, leaves and dirt and taste it.

FINALLY CRAWLING!

I missed the official "first"crawl, but Dana said Vivian was definitely crawling last night, Feb 28. She was a little shaky, but moving forward.

She is also WAVING hello and bye bye. She waved today at the bagger in the grocery store today. Then when daddy got home, she started flapping both arms like a little bird. She is also saying "Ma, ma, ma, mom" and babbling a lot. She seems so happy with her newfound freedom to move around!

Also, my milk seems to be drying up, and she is taking formula from a bottle now. She loves it and drinks it down hungrily!
