4 mo appt
Viv had her 4 mo appt today. She ended up getting no shots because she is not feeling well. She has a sniffly, snuffly phlegmy sounding nose at times, but of course, while at the doctor's office, she was perfectly fine. The runny nose comes and goes within hours. Usually at mid morning, she is seeming miserable with congestion, then by afternoon, it goes away completely.
Today, she has a particularly scratchy sounding cry, like she has laryngitis. It sounds pretty cute, but according to the dr., her ears were fine at least. It is a little virus.
So, instead, Sophie got a flu shot. She was a little scared when we held her down for it, but she didn't even cry ?!?!
In general, Vivian is smiling a LOT, and loves nothing more than seeing someone's face close up to hers. She's starting to grab for her toys a lot more and is pushing objects to her mouth to teethe. She is slobbering a lot and the edge of the Bjorn and/or her sling get saturated with her spit because she gnaws on them when being carried.
Her hair is thinning a bit at the back corners of her head. She also has a series of small birthmarks along her eyebrow and forehead area. They darken and fade during the day - when she wakes up in the morning, they are most noticeable.
We also started putting her in the exersaucer this week - she loves it so much. She stays totally engaged in there and doesn't cry at all. However, she is really getting a workout in there, b/c she has a BM every time she gets in it.
